Troy Laferrara Killers Admit Killing Him

The young married couple who killed Troy LaFerrarra for a thrill-killing admitted that they used the Craigslist to lure him to their snare before killing him. This move by the couple will see them escape the death penalty according to Pennsylvania law. The couple Miranda Barbour who is 19 and her husband Elytte Barbour who is 22 who lived in Selingsgrove, Pennsylvania, now faces mandatory life sentences without parole for the murder of MR Troy Laferrara who was 42 years old on November 11, 2013.

Miranda said that she used a craigslist ad seeking for companionship to lure MR Troy Laferrara to a shopping mall parking lot that was near their home. Miranda confirmed that in the past they had unsuccessfully tried to lure other men. Authorities that investigated the case confirmed that when MR LaFerrrara got into the car where Miranda was Miranda’s husband who was hiding at the back seat started chocking him while Miranda stabbed him. It is reported that the couple stabbed their victim 20 times and then went and dumped his body in an alley. They committed the killing on their three week wedding anniversary in which they celebrated their actions in a Harrisburg strip club after cleaning their car of the blood stains.

Ann Targonski who is the district attorney confirmed that Elytte Barbour was keen on avoiding the death penalty and therefore went to cut a deal with her office. Part of the deal was that he would testify against her wife during her trial. The district attorney said that although Pennsylvania’s spousal privilege law barred MR Elytte about personal communications with his wife, he was free to talk about actions by her that he observed. The district attorney Targonski said that the deal and also negative court rulings on pretrial motions during the summer prompted MR Elytte’s wife MS Miranda also to plead guilty to the crime they committed with her husband.

MS Miranda Barbour made numerous claims to have been a serial killer to the authorities but the authorities could not corroborate any of her claims. MS Miranda grew up in Wasilla, Alaska. Family members of MS Miranda Barbour who appeared on DR Phil show made a description of her childhood stating that it was awful.
